it will cause the headers to warp or crack, its due to heatbuild brought by those wraps..
so does that apply to the valve cover? for the cracking issue?

no valve covers arent that hot and nobody (i think lol) would want to wrap the valve covers..
and its true these wraps are used on some race cars to keep the hood temp down but as mentioned they have a budget of replacing parts in every few races since are more on performance rather than longevity

so i got mine done yesterday....looks great!
but once you get really close you can see the very fine sandmarks of the 2000 grit.
im thinking of going over it again with some 3000. That should take care of it!

Tina goto Shucks,they may be called Crager in Cali,but they actually hvae 5000 in the paint aisle........I nearly fell over when I saw it.......lol.Saved me from going to autobody supply store to get some more.

But on aluminum 2000 is fine,net it needs hit with cutting polish and high speed buffer......that is how you make the scratches go away on aluminum.......5000 is fro if you do not have a buffer and cut polish.

yikes...i have a hard time getting 2000 grit around here!!!! id have to kill someone to get 5000...
