I thought the delay wasn't that much either until I put the throttle tune on, it made me a believer, this was after I had my car tuned to.

I am interested in a port throttle body to, has anyone on here tried gude's?

The delay isn't in the throttle body itself the delay is the OEM tune the computer is setup for emissions and not performance.

so, the engine s in the tC and the xB2 are the same motor. so why does the tC have 3 more HP than the xB2 from factory? bigger cams? tuning? TB?

wouldnt it have something to do with the transmission and axles....the tc doesnt lose as much power from the engine to the wheels...but im just guessing.

^ well, I know speed has a lot to do with aerodynamics, but WHP doesn't. I believe they share the same drive train, but I could be wrong.

I had a CAI, Exhaust, and Header my car was acting like it wanted to die when I would approach a stop and stepped on the clutch (engine in neutral) the rpms would drop down below the point it normally idles (down to 500 rpms) then come back around 600 rpms for idle. After I changed the OEM plugs to NGK Iridium one step colder it stopped doing that and would idle down better, idle better, and go through rpms smoother.

what part number r u guys using for the ngk plugs every auto place i go to say they dont make ngk for the tc!

With who's car? Both tc's I have owned came with Denso IK22's or 20's I don't remember the exact number.

Have not been about to do that swap yet. but... the pic that was posted on an Rx-8 TB looks very similar to ours. We won't know for certain until someone can do the swap. I will try to get a hold of my friend asap.

If I remember correctly, there was someone on e-bay selling a RX8 TB adaptor kit. I think the mounting points are different and would require an adaptor of some kind but the kit claimed that the RX8 TB had the exact same connector for the ECU and could just plug right in with no tuning. I am sure some tuning would be required when changing the TB but since an adaptor is required I would rather install this onto an aftermarket intake manifold.

look at pics earlier in this thread the TB electronic adapter to ECU is same on the RX-8 as our car.
