Not powder coated... it comes in polished or black. But I think mine is strange b/c it has no Injen emblem or anything on it. Just on the couplers.

(definitely not any sort of knockoff or fake though - I have all packaging and original contents)

i just finished putting the Injen CAI on my '06 tC... i took out the two corner grill pieces... will that affect my filter negatively???

Could POSSIBLY make it more likely for water to get in there... though I don't know if it would do much from a drop or too.

what then should i do to keep water out then??? have one of those covers like the k&n filter do??? of something like that.. i want to get a new grill insert set and i didn't like the solid piece of plastic in front of my CAI

I think it should probably be OK. Generally they're not going to suck up water unles they're submurged. Injen does have the watersheild thing though. It's a cover like the K&N sounds like.

It's alright. I felt a loss compared to my injen CAI but it definetly saved my ___ during this rain storm here in NE. I was driving through 6in. puddles without any worries at all.

Could I see more pics of Short Ram Intakes, I've been wanting to get the Weapon R short ram intake but I want to see where it sits in the engine area. When it rains here in Florida it usually pours so a CAI is out of the question.
