Why would it be out of the question? The area that the filter sits is pretty much completely enclosed by the bumper and lower splash guards. The only way you could really do any damage is to drive through about 2 feet of water - literally. I have driven through a LOT of rain with my CAI and never had a single issue, nor was I ever worried that I would.

If you were paranoid about it, you could get he hydroshield to cover the filter or get the bypass valve from AEM.

Im not paranoid about it, I just dont want to have to take the fender or bumper off to install it and it makes it easier to change the filter. I really just want the short ram, no biggie.

my engine is very dirty, but here is a weapon R secret intake. I didn't put any of the stickers on it so it looks bare.
