Default Power forum FAQ & Stickies

It's come to my attention (ahem) that there are lots of repetitive questions asked on this forum and wondered why we don't have a FAQ and stickies in the Power forum?

I may try to get some material together to start one if everyone thinks it's a good idea.

It could serve a lot of the new folks coming on here for the first time with the same initial questions most people have (intake/exhaust/turbos/etc. etc. etc.)

What do you guys think? yay? nay?

Yay!

That compilation of exhaust vids is a good thing to have stickied. Information regarding all the available turbos should be included.. intake information as well.. etc. etc. etc... yea, you got it.

But not too many stickies - too many and people just ignore all of them.

so Yay! Good idea.. good idea.

people ignore the other posts that are right below what they posted LOL. I'll try to get it done this weekend. If it's something everyone feels is useful, maybe we can get it stickied.

I PM'd a mod a month back or so with a TON of information about techie gadgets whether you're boosted or not. It was over a page worth of info. He said he'd look into it, but never got back to me and never posted it on the boards.

Hopefully they come around and make it easier for all of us to use them as a reference. But I'm done trying because I put a lot of work into it to help you guys, and nothing was done to take it to the next level.

an FAQ or stickie would be a good idea. But the thing about "newbies" is that as their name implies, they are new! When people are new to forums they are not necessarily always extremely observant. So dont expect the repetitive posts to go away overnight just because Stickies and FAQs may exist. Still a good idea

I agree. There should be a FAQ or stickies in the power forum. There should be:
1. Basic sticky (Intake,exhaust,ect..)
2. N/A sticky (cams,pistons,ect..)
3. FI sticky (nitrous,turbocharger,and supercharger).

Heres a thought how about seperating them into different forums. Maybe not now, since there is basicaly no FI or high performance N/A products on the market, but eventualy.

Being new.. I'd really wish there was a power faq so I don't get yelled at for repeating questions.. and theres so many "rumor" posts.. I'd just like a thread where I can find FACTS.... like on the trd supercharger and turbo kits and stuff about auto trannys and power..haha

Good idea.

people just need to look around!

click on the reviews and features
you also want to make sure that the product is tested and verified before becoming a sticky

bad example "STICKERS = 10 HP+!!!"

naw mean?

but if we make it easier for people to learn about their cars, then everyone benefits.. comprendo? i have no problem writing up a bunch of stuff and posting it up here for the new folks to read. this forum seems to be growing like mad so it's definitely needed.
