Question about 9lb. flywheel VS. 12lb.
i just purchased a turbo tc, and im gona be upgrading the clutch and fly wheel, ive already decided on the ACT Clutch Kit Heavy Duty 6-Puck Sprung-stage 2...
now, i dont know which way to go at all with the flywheel, ive heard good things about the fidenza 9.5lb fly wheel, but i duno if i need the 9.5 or if i should go with the 12lb...
any one able to inform me here to make the right choice?

depends on what your going to do with the car. if your going to drag race, you want the heavier flywheel for more momentum, if your autocrossing or track racing, you want th elower weight flywheel.

first, don't talk about street racing on this forum, it'll get you in trouble, and flammed.
now, the stock flywheel is about 22 pounds i recently read, it is heavy.
the light weight flywheels let the engine rev faster and reduce rotational mass, but they have less momentum, and can make driving alittle harder.
i have the competition clutch 9.5 pound flywheel, and after having it installed, it like learning to drive stick all over again because it is very easy to stall in 1st gear with the ligther flywheels. the 12 pound flywheel should be easier to drive with, but still alittle harder. but after a while, you get used to it.
as for launching the car in drag races, the heavier flywheel makes it easier to launch the car because thy flywheel has more momentum and energy to transfer when you let the clutch out.
