i finally got my injen intake back on and it seems to run better this time. i think what i did differently was make sure the connections were tighter. the only thing i dont like is that i feel that the connection between intake and engine could have been a little tighter.

Here's really stupid noob question.. why unhook the battery? I know it's for the sensor. but what will happen if you DIDN'T unhook the battery?
Also, for the guy searching for short rams...there is also Weapon R, which is the one I'll probably get once I have the $$$

why don't you try it and let me know? my guess is that the engine light would go on because it would think something is wrong with the car.
the weapon R looks like it fits a little better in the car. that's my only problem with the engine is that it is a tight fit.
i might buy a weapon R and try it out as well.

the first time i installed my injen intake i got a check engen light. i went back and checked everything and it looked fine. but then i went back again and there was a pinched hose. so i fixed that and bam no CEL. so if you do get a CEL with the intake dont give up on it lol the injen intake is my favorite part of my car lol. just check everything. oh yea and i put mine as a SR set up because i was too lazy to take off my wheel and bumper to make it a CAI and i was very glad i did that because it rained REALLY bad here and there were puddles that were so deep that if i did make it CAI the whole filter would have been under water which would have been bad. but then again the SR does look a lot better then CAI... just my .02 cents.

do any of you find that your car idles a little differently? one time yesterday it was idling around 1500 and the needle was moving a little bit up and down. other than that it seems like with the intake the car might idle a tiny bit higher than with stock intake but that could all be in my head...

It idled liek that stock too I think. But yeah my car idles like that also. It shoots up and down for a little while until it reaches the normal temperature (about middle of the gauge) and that's when the rpms tend to be more consistent.
