Has anyone here ever had any problems with their radiator fan not working at times?

its probably a bad relay. unless your sitting in traffic, with the AC on full blast, after just driving hard, in 100 degree weather, it shouldnt over heat. Get a new relay for the fans, thats your best bet

the way a radiator fan works is when you are rolling around it stays off but when you hit traffic or have the ac on, it will turn on to cool your engine down and then shut off

i dont think you need to get a new radiator. the only way a radiator wont work is if it has a hole in it, or its horribly clogged. as for fans, it wont hurt getting fans, but i'd try the relay first because its cheap, then get new fans if it keeps on messing up. or order both, install the relay, and if that fixes the problem, return the fans

Best fans are the OEM fans guys. I've seen many setups on friends TC's fail but the OEM ones move some serious air. If your car overheated because you were sitting in traffic with the A/C on in 100 degree temps, there is something else wrong with your car. I live in FL and do that kind of driving all the time and never once saw the slightest rise in coolant temps.

^ true. i have buddys who have ran after market fans and they have usually ended up failing after a good 6 months. oem fans are definitely the best setup to have

Replace the motor if you just want to throw parts to fix something. You say the car overheated before? Are we talking true overheating where the needle was pegged, or did it just move slightly above normal? Try checking your oil.
