Default Rear Wheel Drive tC?

Whats up SL family, I'm looking into doing a Rear Wheel drive conversion on 2007 tC. I was wondering if anybody here has heard or knows of anyone who has completed or attempted this conversion already. I'd appreciate any help you guys could offer me. If you can please PM me.
Thanks.

It's been discussed here many times, but the best way to convert your tC to RWD is to trade it in for a RWD car. By the time you factor in money and fabrication, you could have a 400+ hp STi, EVO, 350Z/G35, etc. and not have people laughing at you.

Ditto.

Sure it would be cool to say you did it... but really... if you REALLY want to do that to your tC, you bought the wrong car.

and soon as you convert it you'll be selling it a few months later

i've been seeing that pattern with heavy moded cars like that

There has been 2 done that I have heard of. One is for pure drag racing tho.

But like others have said, it can be done, but MONEY talks.

wow...uhm...yeah...rwd conversion...why not make it awd since the drivetrain for the front wheels is already inplace...and put in a 2jz engine supra engine...

how about this, you buy a car that is already rwd and make it looks like a tc? much more doable!

973SleeperTc:: That would be awesome, but the thing is...think how much $$ you will be putting in on that conversion. Plus, once you do a conversion, most of the time you have massive problems and w/ a RWD conversion your just asking for problems. Your better off just selling your tC and get a WRX. I personaly love my tC and want whats best, so I would have to work on whats best for the tC! But good idea. ^_^

agreed, with the stock motor, it would probably be easier to do a custom AWD tranny setup than it would rwd.

only way to get rwd would be to swap in a 3sgte or 1/2jz w/ tranny and run custom driveshaft and rear end.

imo the tc is better suited for awd anyway.

here's a 130+ page thread on Honda-Tech of a RWD Integra. it gives you an idea of whats needed to do such a thing.

Post pics if you ever go through with it. And make that a BIG "if". I've seen some pics of a Prelude RWD conversion with a Chevy (LS1?) swapped in. A lot of cutting was made to get the transmission to fit. Most often a Honda RWD swap ends up being a rear engine setup, I've seen one Civic Hatch with a S2000 engine with a FR setup.

several years ago Kugel made a rwd conversion kit for the Ford Focus. it is a production bolt-on kit that stuffs a V8 in the front with rwd. check out the pricing LOL.
