I recently heard some knock in my tC so I wanted to replace the rod bearings. I have only done that with the engine removed. I’m trying to do it on this car with the engine still in the car. I have the oil pan off and the balance shaft.
Normally I expect to see the caps that hold the bearings at this step but I think it there’s something else to remove. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I don’t just want to remove random bolts.
