The color is unique to the RS1 alone. These tCs were produced in a limited number (1500??? Not 100% sure on that). The upper front grille is different, in that it's a plain black mesh without the mount for the "Scion" logo that's on the standard series' grille; I believe it may also have a different weave pattern in the mesh, but I could be mistaken. The 18" Enkei wheels and a red/black mesh interior to match the body paint are the other two exclusives to the RS1. No extra performance gains, unfortunately. It's a pretty sweet ride. I test drove one, but all of the add-ons on that particular car were a little too rich for my blood.

I'm sure I'm missing something here. Feel free to point out any oversights.

There were 2500 made, the upper and lower grills are different, the seats have red in them instead of the gray, black 18" Enkei's, numbered badge, Release Series door sills, red Hotchkis strut tower brace, red AEM oil fill cap and battery tie down, and Release Series floor mats.

Performance-wise they are the same, except for the Strut Tower Bar which doesn't do much anyway.

Please see this link for more information: http://www.scion.com/release_series/tc/

I'm pretty sure the rs1 is sold out now. So if you want one you'll have to go used. You'll pay close to what a brand new one costs, so you might as well just go brand new.

The RS editions aren't worth it in my opinion. You don't get that much for the price, you mainly get bragging rights with a limited color.

Everyone always points out how much more expensive the RS is. It's about $1500 more, that's not much for what you get. Oh - the 18's are actually pretty lightweight and weigh about the same as the stock 17" wheels.

go on ebay, a local dealer is selling #1 of the 2500 RS 1.0.

i thought it was a typical dealer scam to get someone into the dealer, but sure enough it is actually serial #1. which is odd that it is being sold in sanger which is a small ____ town east of where i live. so unless the dealer is lying and put a #1 limited edition badge..............well either way, i touched it LOL

really? how do you know this? i've searched everywhere to find the specs on the rims. did everything except actually weighing the rim itself. how much do the stock 17's weigh?
oh yeh, basically the $1500 is for 18" enkeis w/ pzero m=s on them. dont forget about all the other stuff RS's get on the car. i think its worth it.

$1,500 for red paint, 18's and badges. And the 18's are optional at some dealerships, its up to the dealership as to if they want rims to be sold with it or not. So basically you are paying for red paint and badges in some cases. Those that do get the 18's, they aren't even that special because its a factory option in the first place. Oh, forgot the red interior lace with the seats.

In my opinion, its not worth it. I'd rather spend $1,500 for something else. Thats just me though, i do realize others like it which is cool. I respect that.

The 18's are NOT optional on the Release Series tC, whatever dealer told you that is trying to rip you off. The 18's are special because they are a dark graphite color, the optional 18's available from Scion are "liquid metal" - silver/gray, not black like the RS wheels.

The radio that comes standard is the single disc that does not change colors.

um,
1. I never tried to buy a rs tc, i wouldn't buy a regular tc to start with.
2. Forgot about that, nevermind. On the RS series xb/xa the rims were optional. I admit defeat on that part.
3. RS series rims aren't really black, but i get your point.
4. Price is still not worth it for one, but to each their own.

Wait...is this a joke? You have the RS1 as your vehicle in your "garage" and your proifle has pictures of waht looks likean RS1 with rims and a body kit on it. If you have one why are you asking these questions?

RS rims are NOT options to other tc's. other tc's get the option of getting 18" scion rims, aluminum in color. RS's get 18" ENKEIS, dark gunmetal in color, STANDARD.
