connects the header to the midpipe. i hate to be a dick, but if you have to ask such simple questions, you shouldn't work on your car, you shouldn't post on a car forum, you should just drive the car. or trade it in for Kia or at least take the time to learn the basics of cars and working on them first.

Don't be a dick...everyone learns new things everyday. Not everyone knows everything necessarily per say. Thanks for the reply and answer but don't be a dick about it everyone is still here to learn.

No reason to be racist either.

On the topic at hand, it's also pertinent to establish for anyone still learning that the stock s pipe is very constricting and is possibly the most restrictive part in the exhaust tract third to the catalytic converters and second to the muffler.

edit: added a smiley in the event someone didn't get the play on words..

ok, an S-Pipe is like a downpipe, at least that's what I picked up on my own. most people consider it one of the most restrictive parts in the exhaust, aftermarket pipes shouldn't through the CEL, you get that from headers cause you obviously take out the cat.

Dude, dont be so harsh. S-pipe is not a common automotive word I believe. Correct me if I am wrong, I think we call it S pipe because it looks like an S. You go to other car forum most people wont know what s-pipe is. What if the down pipe's shape is like a C, do we call it s-pipe?? I can find plenty of experienced mechanics who dont know what s-pipe is.

OK wow to all the comments,

Let's make this a bit more interesting....
So which pipes are 2.5inch mendral bent and which are 2.25inch for the S-pipes.
I know there is ZPI, Megan, Creative Compacts, Draxas. Not sure if theres anymore.
Do all of these s-pipes have a O2 sensor hole for it. Are these pipes going to fit on after Market headers such as AW, Megan, DC Sports? Will it be raspy? will the bolts work fit properly?

ZPI Simulator and Antifouler information could be useful too for everyone. All these things should be discussed in one post not a million all over the place.

Like what PT said...

Which S-Pipe(s) will mate together with the aftermarket headers perfectly without any problems?
