yeah you have to detach the cables from the cage, it isnt too hard though.
the instructon guide for the TRD quickshifter shows pretty well how to detach them from the cage:

yea that dosent look to bad but if i dident remove the cage im geussing it would be a pain?

oh yeah it would be soo much harder. Trust me just remove the cage and you'll be fine :-)

I actually went with the premium and with a 2" height reduction

the cable bushings that come with the premium make a huge difference

do you choose your hight reduction or is it adjustable? or dose it depend on the package you get?

We do have plenty of the stage 2's in stock now, check it out: TWM Scion tC short shifter

Or you can order on ebay...

My TRD quickshifter that I won. Plus my custom weigthed Doc Iso Hula **** with boot collar. You can definetly feel the difference in switching gears. You dont get a reduction in height though but I am not to worried about it. The weighted **** made shifts even better with the TRD quickshifter.

i just got dr. I ss and i was wondering what the point of the cage risers are for? do the help the feel? dose it rase the shifter up ? or dose it matter that i put them in at all?

Since the pivot ball is moved up to create the short shift, the cage risers keep the bottom of the shifter in the same location (pivot ball is moved up on the shifter, so the bottom sits lower), so everything lines up and shifts smoothly. The hard plastic also takes any squish out of the cage mounting for firmer shifts.

Default dr isotope thread size

I wanted to use a NTIS technology shift **** on the dr isotope shifter so does anyone know the thread size
