I put in my Megan short shift kit last week, it was kinda a krazy install involving my dremel, took alot of time. however it was more than worth the 79.99 i spent on it. bought it from www.hopupracing.com, got it in 2 days, they fed ex anything you buy for free. install took about 3-4 hours but as i said b4 was clearly worth it. no instructions come with this item but that is Megan as a company, the shifting is way faster and easier. I do recommend bringing your seat forward though cause your shiftter is lower, i also got the leather trd shifter which i think is a must. GL.

Megan Racing short shifter was 65 shipped

i bought it from here ( scionlife - sponsored sales)
and it came with a nice shiftknob

plus for 35 dollars i got the shifter cable bushings. i think it was from corsport

it feels AWESOME! both item is must have!!

the install wasnt that hard. if anyone have a question about it feel free to pm me.

btw i could make it lower if i use the OBX shiftknob, or the CF NRG

well.. i dont know if the twm stage 2 comes with the cage bushing but if not the $120 is too much for it.

and 2.5 drop sounds too low.
i got megan racing and i am completely satisfied with it.

it comes with cage bushings.. and i bought the corsport shifter cable bushing.
really good set up!
the whole thing came out under a 100..

Are the cage risers necessary? I don't feel like installing those when I install my short shifter

Never installed them on my 05 and didn't install them on my 08 either. Never ran into any problems.

i dont know how much difference we would see from the cage raisers.. i installed mine and it was easy!

btw another good mod is the shifter cable bushings... even if u have stock shifter it will make difference!

if i may say : i have megan racing shifter... it was DAMN cheap.. the install was ok 2 hours.. top! ( as long as u have dremel and a few tools)

it drops 1.5 of the heights and 30% shift throw reduction.

cant beat that!

and if u want more stiffer feel buy shifter cable bushings.

Thanks CSOCSO, Ill keep that in mind. However, i dont know how i feel about the height drop.. i feel like my elbow would hit the center console everytime i shift. Do you have that problem with yours??

I just installed the megan and the 1.5" makes the shifter the perfect height IMO. I never hit the center console or anything.

I installed my Megan shifter today...ffffffffffukkk

It was a pain in the a$$, took me 2 1/2 hours, hard time pulling the shifter out of the locked in plastic cap.

and after reversing the boot and up'd the ring up a little to tuck in the boot ring it was a little crumbled in and the leather looks all funny...so I added a few plastic washers to bring it a little higher..and it looked much better..more flushed in.
