I have an auto 06 tC, 3900 on the odometer, best number was 32.67 MPG(highway, 65 about 160 miles, non stop, full cruise)

worst mileage 22.79(all hills(i live near a rural area) non stop full throttle acceleration, and lasting for about 150 miles)

average...appears to be from 25-28...a big variance comes from fuel location, grade, and how Pi**ed i am. my mixture is not a big highway/city...there are few stop lights, but the speed changes from 35,45,55 respectively when i travel daily.

Hope these numbers help...of btw, i havea injen CAI with all these numbers...seems to help majorly on the highway with cruise...it keep the engine running a bit smoother, but if u "get into it" a lot, the tC can suck gas bad....but thats the fun part isn't it?

i have a manual tc and i drive medium with bursts of stupidity. i am 100% city and get about 25 or 26 mpg. i have driven a lot of highway miles before and got right around 30 mpg. i only have 3800 miles on my car. the funny thing is i drove over 400 miles before i had to fill up on the dealerships tank of gas. it was crazy i drove 100 miles before the needle even moved lol. wierd huh? i thought my car was special and i was gonna get 35 or 40 mpg oh well.

One of those displays that list avg MPH, Miles to empty, AVG MPG, ETC...

How much could it possibly cost for them to put in the car?

Oh please no. I'm hoping those horrible in car "computers" went the way of the dodo in the 80's.

Anything else you want? How about a car that talks to you and digital displays everywhere?

a lot? it seems you floor it the whole time -- or you really need to get that sensor problem fixed before your entire engine from the intake valves to the exhaust tip is covered in a half inch of soot.

I had it in my BMW and Merceds. Loved it, dont know whats so horrible about knowing your gas milage instantly, and a realistic idea of how much gas is left in your tank.

06 Tc, Manual Transmission, Bone Stock, 2900 miles.

Best: 28.5mpg 90% Highway Bakersfield through Tehachapi to Ridgecrest 10% in town. LOTS of cruise control.

Average: 26.2 in town. 17.6 miles to and fro work. Very light foot. 6 stop signs on the way in, 9 on the way out (different route). 9 times every 2 weeks. Run about 290-300 miles right at the 1/4 tank mark. Could get more but why push it?

At 80mph I'm roughly at 3,800rpm's. Right at the beginning of when it really starts to pull. 80 to 100 is a fun blast.

From a design and tooling standpoint? A LOT more than you think. New features are not the cost of the components, they are the cost of the time to design, integrate, test, set up tooling for and install. Its like someone saying it would cost 10 bucks to add a component cause of the parts and installation cost. When in actuality you have to spend all of the tooling costs and design/testing costs before even introducing it. I work in an evironment similar to that. When I lead a project, the cost of introducing even one easy feature many times costs more than the problem is originallly costing the company to deal with, so the "solution" is to do nothing at all, cause there is no benefit.
