sister put diesel in the tC...need some feedback
So my sister was in a hurry and put diesel in the tC. She drove for about a mile and then the car 'died'. A friend brought me there and had a tow truck relocate it to a local shop. I spoke with the owner of the shop before he left and he stated a few things needed to be replaced and flushed costing about $250 tops.
My question now is has anyone dealt with this before or has the knowledge about this? (I'm looking for what needs to be replaced/fixed/etc).
Thanks in advance!

Gas tank drained........possible oil drained............fuel filter trashed and replaced...............fuel lines flushed........fuel rail flushed.........then ran on fuel injector cleaner bottle........reassembled and new fresh gas.........and never let your sister near your car again...............done it once a long time ago...........at a Shell if I remember where they only have one hose on the pump and you pick what comes out.........
Most Diesel pumps will not fit into gas openings anymore because of that..........

just go for cheap. siphon as much out and then add regular gas to it. it might need to turn over for a bit to get the Diesel out but it should be fine.

Did the same thing as Complication. Mine was an old chevy, & it ran fine after changing the gas filter & a full tank of 91/92 octane.
On a lighter note, I'd say this is a good reason to upgrade to better injectors, 'cause I'd suspect the ones U have might be VERY plugged fo sho.

Scott's a tech and has done this before, I believe - https://www.scionlife.com/profile/Scott17
Basically it involves cleaning everything the diesel touched, replacing what can't be cleaned, and loading up with new fuel.
Four hours sounds about right for the job, but it's not four hours of labor during that four hours the car is in for service, so $250 is quite reasonable IMHO.
When's your sister get out of the hospital?
