I read that one of the Aero mufflers (which are only like 12"-14") did a fantastic job of combatting the rasp... I have a Megan mid/s-pipe, HKS axleback, and Megan header with a Magnaflow HiFlow cat welded on which doesn't leave much room (unless I just cut off the Megan resonator) for a big 22" one from Magnaflow... so I've been thinking about trying the Aero route. Just some food for thought.

i have a mmw header/s pipe and megan full cat back exhuast...it was soo embarrasing to drive it sounded like a lawn mower between 2500-5000 rpms, but after cuttin off the megan "resonator" from the catback then replacing it with a 30" resonator, boi it sounded like there was no header, so i suggest gettin a 30" or 28" or 2 14" i think 2 14" wud work better if u have space...

Hold on this needs to be cleared up a little bit. Just because you have a long resonator doesn't mean its wide enough. I have a Alphawerks Header, Zpi Racing S-pipe and mid pipe (the mid pipe has a Magnaflow 20" long 6" round resonator and a Magnaflow OBDII Cat, Injen Rear section exhaust, no Rasp.

A few people have done the 6" round20"(only 14" body) i'v even seen some do a 6" round 33" long(27" body)
the tc does have room where the stock resonator sits to fit it but
the AERO are more efficient from what i hear, a AR25 which is 5"round 14"long(10" body) is as efficient as a 4"round 20"long(18"body) also they are ceramic packed so will out last any steelwool or glasspack.

a 6" round 33"long magnaflow will run you 80 to 90$
2 AERO's will run you 160$ so you do the math and decide...

My resonator is 20" long and the body is 18" long, not 14". I wanted to get one that was at least the same length as the oem one, but mine is 6" round.

Sorry dude magnaflow doesn't make a 6"round 20"(18"body) muffler...

they do make a 6"round 24""(18"body) muffler...

we live and learn...

Stock is 2.25 I believe. There is no 2.35, there is 2.5 and 2.37 (60mm)

wrong the tc's stock exhaust diameter is "JAPAN SPEC" = around 2.35-7 inside diameter.

the Draxan exhausts were 2.35" to try to match the OEM exhausts specs as close as possible, Although Draxan themselves claim 2.5...

Dude, search around, stock diameter is 2.25". You are telling me that Magnaflow, Agency Power, and Megan, all downgrade your diameter to 2.25"? What you are talking about is 60mm which is a popular exhaust spec overseas and that equates to 2.362" in diameter which is not the stock size of the tC. When I slap on my skunk2 (also 60mm) tomorrow, I will take a picture of the stock tc exhaust measurement for you.

Do it then we can put this to rest.
it just doesn't look 2.25 to me at all.
do me a favor and measure it from the MID-PIPE at the flange were it bolts to the S-PIPE.
I hope your honest enough to admit if your wrong...(my entire stock exhaust is in storage so i can't measure it)

I'm on the resonator dilema as well, doing some reseatch to find out what is the best rout or a custom exhaust. From what I have been reading, two resonators with same size won't do any better than one. Apparetnly, the first resonator will eliminate (or reduce) the specific tone for that size. Then, the second resonator has nothing (or almost nothing) left to resonate on that specific tone. Since someone already posted that a 22 is still rasp, I would go with one 14 and 1 some other size.

Ask people about my theory because I'm no expert, so I may be very wrong. That's my 2 cents

Mugetsu, I am still working on measuring it, got the stock exhaust in my house but cant find a tape measurer.

I would not recommend anything less than 18" if you are getting just one res. Unless its that aero one which is 12" but I heard good things about it on different threads
