Default So since the tC's rev limiter cuts of ignition, not fuel...

...do those of us who plan to get nitrous (or already have) need a window switch? I mean, if we were to hit the rev limiter with nitrous still spraying, I don't see a major problem. (also assuming we arent dumb enough to spray below 3,000rpm )

Your thoughts on this?

Also, with a wet kit, do you really need to do any sort of tuning on a 35 or 50 shot?

Thanks!

No tuning needed on a 50 shot....

It'd be SERIOUSLY unwise to run a N2O setup without a window switch on our cars ( I use the MSD Digital window switch - easy to set up and easy to adjust.... on at 3100 off at 6100)

You can read some of my older info here...

i thought our cars cut the fuel...?

wouldn't this be the reason why e-Manage ultimate allows you to change/remove the stock rev limit?

please correct me if i'm wrong.

nope, tC cuts off ignition for rev limiter...

wds - so i can just install and spray (properly, at wot and between that window you gave) and play?

i dont see why it would be unwise to not use a window switch... if you are careful about not hitting it at under 3000, you shouldnt need a window switch, i dont think anything bad will happen if you hit the rev limiter in the tC with nitrous (don't get me wrong, i understand why it is bad to hit the rev limiter on other cars!)

It's just unwise... not insane... Less chance of hitting too low, or any possibility of issues from running too high... for 100 for a pilled switch, or a bit more for a digital... it's just brainless piece of mind... therefore a wise choice

wds - well... im trying to keep it cheap here while keeping it relatively safe... what do you think about a mainline kit from nx? it's only $399 so if i buy that one instead of a hitman kit, i guess i can afford the window switch as well

rhodesyca - 1. lol at "grand"; 2. you use an emanage or other piggyback.

BTW- Unless you start building internals... you don't really want to play too much with our redline... It's not worth the nominal gain in it for the risk.

what about hitting the red line on an automatic? also i heard our fuel system is differnt than that of a manual. Is a 50s hot still safe with out tuning on a automatic?

Im buying he zex kit and it says it changes a/f ratios...

im talking about automatic, with 50 shot it should not matter, just dont engage below 3000 and not-wot, lol

a friend has a zex wet kit on his auto and his runs with no issues w/o tuning. typically anything under a 50 shot doesn't need tuning

when i said it changes the a/ ratio . the zex kit has the box that connects to your ecu that corrects your a/f ratios if it goes to a dangerous level . is this true?
