well so far I have had my car since July 5 of this year and the only thing I regreat is rear ending a van, losing my car for 3 weeks and costing $9000 in damage with 4300 miles on the ticker. I just got the car back last friday and the paint is still not right, and there are more things that have to be re-done because of the lack of detail by the body shop.

Buying all those aftermarket things from scion.... i.e. the short throw, the sub, the exhaust, the ipod radio, the lights i never ever ever use..... for all the money i spent there, i could have bought better things... if i had to redo it, i would do more research rather than buying things from the dealership

I don't understand why people regret buying the car...Why would you toss 16k without researching and test driving...come on now...

I regret getting my speakers installed by a shop when I could have done it.

regret saving my money like a jew and settling for a tC when i had the cash for a mazda mazdaspeed 3. although i could probably still trade in the tC, put it towards the speed 3 and be alright, it's the principle of the thing. oh, and i don't know how to drive a stick shift, so that was the main reason for the automatic tC. i need to learn to drive a stick already !!! also regret getting 35% tints on the front windows instead of 20%.

HERE THE LIST OF THINGS I REGRETTED DOING ON MY TC:

1. getting 20% tints without knowing that the year of inspection test is on the same year i got my tinted on.

2. having ARA (utah county audio shop) done my sound system... they fudged up the whole things and blew up my fuse twice.

3. buying dual 9500 subs.. way too big for scion TC

4. getting that battery topper from tursmi,,, that thing is horrible!

Yep, lots of people regret not getting the clear bra.

http://www.clearbrafilms.com

For people thinking about doing it themselves, don't cheap out like this porsche guy... the headlight overlays may be easy but a clear bra - i dunno man. here, the pics kinda speak for themselves.

I regret....
For buying the tC-
1. Not ordering 19 inch wheels (could of used the 17 in for winter and switch them out during late spring and use them up to early fall.)
2. Not getting better stereo than the standard like ipod connection one or the 6 disc changer.
Because Toyota Financial could of paid the extra $$$ and I would of paid them back every bill.
3. Not buying the BCM 5-speed!
4. Accepting a 72 month loan.

Other
I wish I never use a radar detector; now I have cord marks on the silver pieces on the dashboard.

Don't regret-
Switching to Mobil 1 (last oil change forgot to tell them to use it and now the car is running like ****), any TRD parts like muffler, CAI, lowering springs & struts(turns out; they handle snow quite well even in 12 inches. I just wish I would of waited until Spring to install them.)

My personal favorite no regret.....

Putting 72k miles within 14 months. The tC is holding quite well and is teaching me to keep up with maint.

I regret buying all the crap from the dealer...

1) Extended Warranties
Especially since I turbo'd my car

2) Scion Security
Because I want a 2 way remote start system

3) Ground Effects Kit
Because everyone has it, and it's so expensive

4) Prepaid auto service
Don't/Can't use it

5) Clear Bra
After I get my bumper repainted, I'm DEFINITELY going clear bra!

I havne't seen this on here yet.. (only browsed every other page or so)..

I regret buying the stupid $#@!ing TRD stage 2 clutch from trdsparks for 600 dollars shipped.

You can get better clutches (TRD's is 25% more clamp force... versus clutches from 40 - 450% over stock) for about 400 dollars shipped.

Other than that, I don't regret anything else.. going to be turbo'd here soon as I get my tax return.. so we shall see...

After 41 months, and 15,500(roughly) miles, I regret ever buying the tC. I'll probably end up trading it in for an '06 Evo MR, or some other AWD turbo sedan. A4 2.0T Quattro? Volvo S40? Meh..

I hate to admit to this....

If you guys aren't happy with the tC and wanted something better than the tC; why did you get a tC in the first place?

I personally make great money for someone my age and where I'm living at. I could afford nice entry level Benz, BMW, Audi. EVO, 4Runner...hell; my tC's sales consultant straight out told me I could of bought a new Tahoe for extra $30.00 a month.

But you know what??? When I was in college in a small hick town in Minnesota; on my way towards the cafeteria. Had to walk on the college's student parking lot. There was this black rare, unique economical coupe with glass roof parked in one of the spots. Took closer look and saw; it was one of those new Scion's that all car magazines, and my Dad was talking about. My first time ever seeing a Scion...Being from huge populated area. Dealerships around the Milwaukee area didn't get supplied enough and then couldn't keep enough. So I never saw one until that day.

Then I had to buy a new car; two years later...Went with the xA cause I couldn't afford the extra $$$ for a tC. But there was this girl about my age was buying her tC at the same time. She was in tears cause she was getting this showroom tC and of course I was getting jealous. And dreaming that girl was me.

Got a better job, found out tC has the same Camry I4 which is two steps ahead compared to the xA 103hp. Decided to live one of my dreams...and bought that damn 2007 Scion tC.

Now my car dream or dreams-One being a Ferrari 550 Maranello. That's never going to happen. But my possible dream is owning a Lexus IS 250, I have to wait on that until my car loan is paid off or if I happened to be make few dollars more. While keeping the tC.
