spark plugs????????
hi. i drive a 2005 tc. I got 62000miles on it. i was wondering around what milege is recommended to change the spark plugs and also which spark plugs do you all recommend???? thanks to you all//

Use only Iridium plugs. NGK or Denso are OK and cost about $10 each. Do not adjust gap. See sticker after removing cover for this info. OEM plugs are rated 100K. Changed mine @ 75K. OEMs looked as if they could have gone the full 100K. Changed anyway. No marked improvement on performance or mpg. Hope this helps.

yes the OEM are rated at 100k miles but i wouldnt wait that long to change them \...i change mine at 50k miles does it make a difference well i have and easier start it cranks easier i bought the NGK ones with the 0.44 gap.....but other then that i didnt want to wait for 100k to change them which could lead to problems....but i pretty sure theres a whole thread on spark plugs and when to change them and all that info just search NGK plugs or spark plugs something like that im sure youll find your answer

doesnt hurt to try new ones..some do its as 30k miles some do it at 50k or even 100k miles all what you wanna do...i change mine cause i kinda had a harder start to crank over but now its easier other then that...thats all....NGK all the way with the 0.44 gap better spark

I would definitely replace them at the mileage you're at now. I like the stock NGK plugs, but I found that since 2005 NGK changed the OEM part number, but it is still the same plug. NGK lists it as the IFR6T11, called "Laser Iridium" NGK part number 4589. About $7 a plug from your local auto parts store, no reason to buy the denso plug from the dealer at $10-15 each! ouch!
I had tried the Denso spark plug from the dealer, and the car ran poorly, switched to the NGK and car was nice and quiet, smooth! And yes our cars come with either denso or NGK from the factory. Go with NGK you'll thank me!
And when you do replace the plugs, please make sure the engine is COLD when you take them out, nothing worse than warping an aluminum cylinder head! ouch!
