ZPI has been promising an intake for a while. I'm not sure where it at but I might wait and see what there results are and how much they want for theres. $850 is a little high.

As for ZPI having one who would even be willing to risk the money on a company notorious for not shipping products.

reposting wat i said in the F/I forum.
I do not believe there will be much gains from this worth the $850 for the regular tC. for boosted tc's, its still pretty much useless as air is being forced in anyways. (i know from experience about this). i did a IM swap on my boosted RSX, gained about 10hp in the topend, but lost 9-10 in the low. this mod benefits the hardcore n/a folks.
to really utilize this, you would need aftermarket cams and a bigger TB and tuning. dont forget PnP the head as well.
install would be biscuit too. dont know how one would reach back there. also, why not make a plastic IM gasket to reduce the heat emitting off the aluminum IM to the head? this has shown very effective on Honda's with aluminum IM's. Hondata.com has an example of the intake manifold gasket.
lets say 10-15whp untuned. still worth the $850? the HP/dollar still isnt justified for your average tC owner. granted its a nice piece and well-engineered, but i've seen developments like this crash and burn due to little demand.
most folks are in it just to see the numbers, but few will buy. i'm sure SSC understands this.

I hope so.

I wish companies would have a completed product WITH performance numbers before they post something like this on the site. Too many companies come on here touting their products with no performance information until page 10.
To all companies: Have pictures, prices AND numbers BEFORE you post up about your new product. Everyone will be a lot happier. Thank you.

Nitrous guys and boosted guys like this. See I have tons of workin being thrown into my motor to have a plastic restricive manifold is pointless. Now Toyota went with this obviously for cost reasons and being plastic it is less prone to heat soak. An increase in the runner size and a bigger throttle body (like RS1 said) would be sick for a big turbo looking for that top end. I went custom but for N/A guys it gonna be a battle with that cost IMO

It would be usefull on a boosted tc if the boost is high enough. The stock Composite Manifold can only take so much boost so about certain levels of boost it would be benificial.
