Suggestions for my exhaust set up (rasp/resonator)
Right now I have the Injen CAI, Megan header and downpipe, a no-name brand resonator (actually, I think it's a Magnaflow one) after the downpipe, and the PrecisionMuffler axleback exhaust. Rasp wasn't bad until I actually started climbing the powerband. Now, due to the little extra muffler clamp rusting off the PM axleback (and a decision to move in a different direction), I've decided to put the stock exhaust back on while I look for a new one.
My buddy's got the Tanabe Concept G and I really like the sound his tC has. I want to pick that one up, but I'm afraid of it possibly being louder or having more rasp because of my header (his set up is Injen CAI and stock all the way to the axleback). If I end up getting the exhaust, I'd want to know what I could do to curb the rasp...short of removing the header/downpipe, of course. I keep hearing about the Aero brand resonators, would one of these work well with my setup? Guess, the question I should ask is: anyone have a similar setup (Injen CAI, Megan Header/Downpipe, resonator, Tanabe Concept G exhaust) and can comment on the rasp?
