Supercharger Update (vids, pics, & #'s are up)
PLEASE DO NOT POST OPINIONS ON WHETHER OR NOT YOU THINK THE SUPERCHARGER IS WORTH IT.
DO NOT RANT AND RAVE ABOUT TRD MAKING US WAIT
This is meant just to update you on the situation.
The rumors that the supercharger are out is apparently true, and I will explain why some dealers don't know it yet.
As of today, TRD has released the supercharger. They have, in fact, been ready for quite some time. The reason for not releasing it was because Toyota only had a verbal agreement that it was in fact CARB legal. Lawyers in California did not want to Toyota to release the unit without having all of the necessary legal documentation.
Warehouses around the country have received this notice, and should begin shipping the units to dealership anywhere between tomorrow and next week. Dealerships don't know it's coming yet, because this all just happened today. Toyota's computer system generally updates around 9p.m. So if you called your dealership today and said, "People on the forums are saying that they are already out, why can't you order them?" The answer is simply because it is not in the system yet. It SHOULD, (SHOULD!!!), be in the system tomorrow, but perhaps it will take the weekend. Once it is in the system, dealerships will be able to order you your very own supercharger.
Other information you may find interesting. The kit will now include higher volume fuel injectors, spark plugs, intake manifold, fuel supply lines, engine oil pan, thermostat, and a larger air box. That is straight from the installation manual available on the Sparks Dealership website.
Sparks is offering the supercharger for $2,950, and is charging $380 for the installation. Dealerships are going to be charging different prices than this, but you should be able to negotiate with your dealer by showing them that this dealership in South Carolina is charging this.
All the being said, I hope you found this informative, and I hope that this news isn't already outdated.

I just got off the phone with Toyota. I ordered my car last week and just 5 minutes ago decided to try and add the SC because I saw on here it was available.
To make a loner story short, the guy on the phone was a rude a$$hole and ended the conversation saying I dont know where you got your info but the SuperCharger is not ready and wont be for awhile.
I will call and ask to talk to the guy who sold me the car tomorrow. Hopefully they will have the SC before I take delivery so I can finance it with the car.
SO your info posted looks true that it is not out, atleast not in VA.

Yes, he will be able to finance the supercharger. I did so, and I purchased my car in July. Nick06tc, EVEN if the s/c isnt out, you should have no problem financing it through TFS. Just talk to your dealer. and READ MY POST.

Went to the dealer today and the brochure says the cold air intake and supercharger cannot be financed with the car. I called tfs to verify and they confirmed that you cannot. They also stated that some people may have gotten away with it and that the dealerships have been notified that they are not to inlude it in the financing. So if you it financed the supercharger through tfs consider yourself lucky because everyone won't be able too. Now if you use your own bank and the bank gives you more money for the supercharger then I guess you could that way....
