Default T25 on a tC... do-able, but what kind of response?

I see all these T3/T4 Hybrid and T04 Mitsu Turbos with the huge turbines that tC tuners are equipping. I know that a T25b can be mounted but what kind of yield would we get on this?

Why would you want such a small turbo on a 2.4 liter engine? Anything smaller than a 16G is a waste. A T25b will spool very fast but it will also fall flat on it's face in the upper rpms.

That turbo would provide instant boost but if you were ever planning on running more then 10 or 11 psi it wouldn't be worth a crap.

I wouldn't do anything smaller than a T28 on this car. My kit makes full boost at 2700RPMS on a T3/T4 hybrid.

good deal - wasn't sure how small I should go. So the T3/T4 hybrid is the best size for our type of car? And whats the safest setting for the turbo on stock internals? I'd say 8psi but not sure...

I agree, Anything smaller and your going to choke the engine in the upper rpm range.

The first mod of a 2nd gen DSM owner is to swap out the POS t25 for a better 14b turbo, those with 14bs always go with the 16g big or small after.

Yeah, 16G, T28 Killers are great turbos.

I installed a 16G Killer turbo on my friend's 97GSX and dremeled the o2 housing... That performed muuuch better than a t25. He went from a 14.1@94 to a 12.8@101 at the same psi.

Nice, I was about to buy a 98GSX beautiful black shiny paint on it, ultra clean everything. Then I saw it was Auto... such a waste on such a nice car.

Eww Mitsu____i... After seeing almost everyone I know with a Mitsu have problems I'll never get one. My best friend had 2 3000's, two other friends had them, had several co-workers with GS-T's and GS-X's. And had 2 ex's that had Galants. ALL OF THEM HAD MAJOR PROBLEMS. I was truly amazed in the poor quality. This was in the mid to late 90's so they mave have improved but never had I seen one manufacturer have so many problems with new cars.

The CT26 is an ok turbo. Sure.. it'll work, but the question is.. why would you want to use one? I think the 16g is techincally slightly smaller, but I believe it flows better than the CT..

why not just go with 2 t25's iw as thinking about it and it would probly have the same if not a little more lag then the 16g or some of the other trubos and would look cool as hell

impracticle yes but cool yes lol i want to make a manifold for it just for fun but i have to finish building up my civic motor first
