I have the HKS and it's not annoying on the highway at all. I love the sound it makes.

I guess its just a toss up on which one to get. They seem very comparable. Only variances are that the Tanabe is 93dB max and the HKS would be a little more. And the HKS sits more at a slant... wish there was some way of fixing this without having to re-weld it.

axle backs just release some pressure. get a catback

Tsudo N1 Catback FTW and less than both the HKS and Tanabe..

HKS would be good if you go all out on turbo or s/c but it'll get annoying if you dont do nothing to engine. makes you seem more of a ricer having a loud car that cant pull much of anything unless you go turbo or s/c. Other than that get the tanabe if you want some what of a little bit of power but keeping you on the down low. plus its quieter and its loud when it needs to be.

I've got to tell you, i've got the HKS Hi-Power with an Injen CAI and i'm happy. This is just to get me by until I can afford my turbo kit! Plus the angled look to me is nice looking. JMO

is the HKS with a silencer louder than a Tanabe on the street and highway or is the Tanabe quieter no matter even if the silencer is on the HKS???
