Default Throttle body spacer check engine light?

So I put it on, and 5 minutes later I have a check engine light. Any fixes. advice? Thanks in advance.

take it off because they do absolutely nothing for the tc. infact, one owner (i think it was soros) dyno'ed his tc before and after installing one, and he lost power with the throttle body spacer.

That's strange. I put a 1" OBX TBS on my tC, and my torque went up significantly. Additionally, the car seems to have a lot more HP - it's a LOT faster when accelerating, even with an additional passenger (who also said it was faster. He is a mechanic, and drove the car 0-60 before the mod). I also saw my MPG go up about 3 MPG as well (I baby the car otherwise...). I'm also running Nology wires and Silver core spark plugs w/ an oem replacement K&N air filter, Mobile 1 0W20 and K&N Oil filter. Everything else was installed in the car before installing the TBS, and the best MPG I could get before was about 27-28 (70% City, 30%Highway)...

Has anyone else had any success with Throttle Body Spacers?

OK so I put back on today and disconnected the negative terminal while doing the work. Connected everything after that, and..... No CEL.

Default Spacer and CEL

I installed a PowerAid spacer last week. All was well (after the stupid window issue) until yesterday when the CEL came on.

Took it to Autozone and their computer said the fuel/air mixture was lean and that it was an O2 sensor problem. I'm guessing that spacer is not torqued down enough.

Funny thing is, after the removed their computer, the CEL went off and has stayed off so far.

To those who own a TBS...how do you think it makes HP/torque? They claim it creates a vortex of spinning air but what happens when that air gets into the intake manifold and split up and forced into the intake valves...that air isn't going to be "spinning" anymore by the time it meets fuel so that whole idea behind that the spinning air will mix with fuel better is a JOKE.

If you ask me..it's just another piece of metal that is going to get super hot being under the hood and the air has to pass through it thus creating your intake air temp hotter and negatively impacting performance.

he's always on the t.b.s. forums making it sound like he boosted his motor with this t.b.s.

Default TBS

I have to say, even though the CEL comes on right around 1/2 a tank of gas, and then eventually goes off, I do get a little more power, especially on the higher RPM end. I'm leaving mine on now that I went through the pain to install it.
