throttle (sp?) lag
first of all sorry if im spelling throttle wrong. lol
i own the o6 five speed manual ...
Does anyone else notice a throttle lag. (thats wat my man calls it)
its like when im changing gears it takes a long time for the rpms to go down. therefore if i try to shift fast, then it sounds like im revving or over revving in between switching gears. i hope i explained that okay. .. Now im just confusing myself. lol

yea, it does that because of the Drive by Wire system of the throttle body. There is no cable connecting the pedal and throttle body, it is done by a sensor on the pedal and an actuator on the throttle body. As a result there is always a lag in response whether it comes to pressing or releasing the throttle. It's a pain, especially since it makes rev matching between gear changes much more difficult.

i read there is a way you can somewhat help it by placing some rubber bumpers on the pedal stop or something like that. i'm gonna go search for it and see what i can find...i'm new here and just got my tc yesterday.

it just gets rid of some of the play in the pedal travel, but unfortunatly will not correct the slow response of the system. I know that some guys with is300's have replaced their throttle bodies with cable driven ones, but i don't know if we have anything available to do the same. I think it would be a good idea for an aftermarket company to persue this.

A better bet would be to get a lightened flywheel and potentially a stronger clutch.
This will cut down on lag time, and a flywheel will increase HP. You cannot get rid of it completely without major modification.
