When the wheel turns? Turns left/right or when rolling?

don't even bother checking the boot. once you here the clicking sound when you turn your wheel one way the CV axle is shot. Time for a repair. Check with your dealer if your still under warranty

Not necessarily.. I've had that issue on a different car before, and the clicking was due to lack of CV grease cuz the boot busted.. After a new boot and grease it was fine.

Well you could have damaged your axles as stated by nlataillie...

Have you done lots of burnouts?

this is true, but not recommended. The purpose of the boot is to keep dirt rocks, and god knows what else from getting on the joint on the CV axle. Re greasing and rebooting can fix the problem but it will only mask a more serious problem that you will have later down the road. If your CV axle is shot and your still under warranty they should replace it as it is not a wearable part and is part of the drive train.

It may be something as simple as a rock stuck in the tire tread.

If the ticking is not suspension related, they will still honor your warranty.

They would have to prove that the ticking sound was caused by after-market parts.

damn straight, which they can't you should be golden. Anything could have damaged the boot. A stick even a puddle. If the boot got damged you wouldn't hear the noise for a week or even a month after it happened. This one of those freak things that just happen.

yeah like the steelbar going through my refuel line going about 40mph, and grinding on the ground. leaked gas everywhere... man it ws crazy.

but anyways, i figured out it only ticks when i turn either left or right, and ticks more the faster i go, its very light ticking
im going to take it in soon
