The gas prices the way they are, who would want to spend 3.50 on super on a car that still won't break 0-60 under 5 and still won't make a good lap car. Want a sports car, buy a sports car. The TC doesn't handle like one, take it to the track you'll see... why start off with something so raw.
Because some would rather take the challenge of building thier own than buying overpriced out of the box performance.. Its not for some, and thats fine, but the fastest cars I have seen were almost all built from not so great ones. Its called a challenge. You dont build to have the fastest car on earth necessarilly, you do it to push the limits and see what you can do. Why is that so hard for some to grasp? Why customize? If you want a nicer car just buy one right??? then you can have a "common" car that costs a ton more than what you could have built if you have the know how. Whats not so smart is to buy a 40,000 car to build a race car out of... the idea is to start with a good, less expensive platform and build from there.

Default not to beat a dead horse but...

Not to beat a dead horse but... As OF Sept. 14th 2005 I called TRD @ 4:57pm EST and talked to the rep on the phone. I then inquired about the TRD supercharger for the tC and had told him of the Email i recieved from them about 2 months ago in reply to my original inquiry about the S/C to which they replied ETA is Sept. Well the gentlemen on the phone from TRD said that he had just finished installing one a day ago and that the S/C will indeed be released before the end of the month (sept.) I then proceeded to ask him how much power does it add if he knew and he replied that he didnt have concrete numbers but that his butt o meter was saying that a substantial amount of increase in power was produced and I then asked him if he knew the amount of boost that would be produced from the system to which he replied that he hadnt had a boost meter/guage hooked up but that the system runs between 5 and 7psi of boost. my final question was for a part number if they had one avalible to which he answered that he hadnt had one quite yet, but to check back in a couple of weeks. For all those who doubt my story .. here is the Phone number that you may call yourself to satisfy your curiousity. (800) 688-5912
