Default Tranny issue.

Well i will try to describe this as best as possible. My tC (5spd) whenever I shift up to 3rd gear or down to third gear it makes a grinding noise. It goes into third drives ok, etc just when shifting into it it makes the noise. any ideas? I honestly hope its not a clutch issue and something that is under warrranty but still....

thanks

it probably isn't a clutch issue because then i think it would effect all your gears that you shift into.

maybe it is a bad synchronizer, or something is wrong with the shifter itself.

take it in, that sounds like a warranty covered problem.

I'll have it looked at on friday when i take it in for the oil and airbag recall. I keep the clutch pedal in long enough as far as that goes. hopefully it is a warranty covered issue. I had my dad and a friend check it out to make sure it wasnt my driving but they had it doo the same thing too.
