no 4 cyl w/ any exhaust is gonna sound throaty like a G car. My hatch thumps like a v-8 with cams, but thats because of the 3" exhaust, no cats, and big cams.

[q]No way in h3ll it sounds stock....get your facts straight before posting garbage. Oh wait, you probably picked up one of those coffee cans from your local muffler dealer and thought it would "look cool" on your car. [/q]

so far we have installed both the Borla and the TRD, and at redline they all sound just the same.

You know, go to a couple of meets find some clips on the internet, and make up your own mind. Everybody always likes what is on their car best. At the end factor in price, sound, and looks because you really are not going to feel a huge difference.

Comparing exhausts @ the redline isnt the issue. You get that "throaty" sound @ lower RPMs. I thought you said that the TRD exhaust sounded like the stock unit? Wasnt that the point you were trying to get across?

I hate to burst any bubbles, but the most you're gonna gain if you bolt on everything made for that car is 20 hp....tops. End of story.

that's header (just one morons, not headers) intake, exhaust, crank pulley, ground wire, and any other silly little things the aftermarket can push on you fellas.

Eventually you'll figure it out. I promise.

it's raspy at best. Did you happen to look at my profile?

I'm a Toyota/Scion parts man, and have been for 6 years now. Before that I was a Honda parts man for 9 years. I've been field-testing this stuff for years

Wow....any other wisdom you might want to endow on us today God? Perhaps us "morons" enjoy working on our cars and adding these performace enhancing components. Hell if we didnt, and the rest of the world didnt, you wouldnt have a job now....would ya?

I have theTRD muffler , DC SPORT header and the AEM intake. Everyone keeps saying you can't feel the difference in horsepower with one or the other. Well put on all 3 and you WILL feel the extra hp. I put on the TRD first and loved the sound and it was slightly louder with the DC SPORT header but not overpowering inside the car.
