If you are going for a nice clean look, go with the TRD. Looks like stock.
If you want the "modified" look with the N1 style muffler, then go with the Tanabe.
I personally like the HKS Hi Power. It is loud, and I like the angled look. All up to you though.

trd to me always sounded like a domestic car, and tanabe is a jdm company, and it produces that kind of low, non raspy, "tuned" car sound.....i've had tanabe on all my cars (prelude, tC...and perhaps the Z now).....its not that loud, and you shouldn't have any problems with the authority....the install and placement of the tanabe is very clean, and does not burn your bumper, and your road clearence is fine...interior sound is normal to any regular aftermarket exhaust...trd sounds like a "weak muscle car", which is not what the tC is.....and why buy something that the dealer offers.....make it your own, and different....not too many people go with tanabe anyway.....and those sounds clips on youtube do not do it any justice!

ok... so now that i got input i feelin the Tanabe.... but let me better explain my self... im still in high school... im a juinor. alot of people in my school have tC's now im looking for an exhuast to set me apart... but not get any "unwanted attention" by this i mean that when i drive to school i want people to hear my car and know its me... do you get what im saying not loud but louder then your average car.

you'll hear the trd when you walk by it on idle. idle is more throatier on idle for trd
tanabe? not so much, cause its very very low
im satisfied with my tanabe
also, if you dont want others thinking your car is "ricey" or whatever with a coffee can exhaust, then trd is the best choice

get the tanabe. u wont regret it. trd is just ewww to me. tanabe sits very nice, and isnt a coffee can. if u want to be set apart from other tc's at ur school. tanabe. im pretty sure all o them have a trd
i personally have a custom HKS carbon ti with a straight pipe. if u get something like what i have, yea, u basically ask for attention. the Hi power is another good choice, i just dont like how it sits, its to low.
if i were buying an exhaust right now that had to be bolt on, id either get the injen or the tanabe.
