No. It sounds different as well. I like the rumble it make when you let off the gas.

Got my sp2 installed in a little over 40 minutes after class last night. The thing is super quiet. At idle it is just like stock, on the freeway there isn't any annoying droning and the radio masks the subtle hints of noise. It's there when you want to hear it and not there when you don't. I think the SP2 is a great choice.

Does it rumble any at idle? I'd want something to sound a little like the TRD at idle, with a little rumble to it. Love the Tourist Trophy avatar BTW.

Evo 2 is louder then the SP2...anough of a difference to be in a different class than the systems mentioned here. There is a thread that compares the two however, stickied at the top of this forum.

You can barely hear it at idle, but it's slowly getting louder. I'm really enjoying the exhaust and I'm hopeing everything remains the same after I put on an S pipe.

Tourist Trophy? That's no video game, that's me in my spare time at big willow.

I just installed the Megan OEM style axle back. . . I personally like it and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It doesn't fart and has a nice deep rumble and lower RPMS. . . at higher RPMS, it' barely noticeable.

I can tell that the engine definitely breathes better at lower RPMs, but at higher RPMs, I'm not sure if there is really a difference.

But it looks great, it was relatively cheap, and it was what I was personally looking for.

Wow I completely forgot about this thread...well I ended up getting the TRD, and it's perfect. Rumbles nicely at idle, and is mellow at part-and moderate-throttle. At cruise it's silent, regardless of rpm. Overall, highly recommended, esp. since you can pick one up gently used for like 150 bucks :D

I have OBX headers, custom s-pipe, catless 2.5 midpipe with the magnaflow resonator and the TRD axle back. I dont really like it the TRD gets rasp as can be with the opened up exhaust, its really really loud too. In low gear and slow speeds its sounds nice and deep but thats not very often. Heres a vid from the inside. Im going to get the HKS Hi power axle back soon and then Ill post up some more videos.

I can tell you right now, the TRD is much louder. I have the TRD with AlphaWerks headers, Magnaflow high flow cat and resonator and I still don't like the sound. The TRD only sounds good if you keep the factory exhaust manifold imo. I wish I bought everything right the first time I would have saved some money! ughhh! whatever,
