If you've had a great experience with Doc I, post it here!

I installed my doc I. cage bushing and the shifting was great real smooth and not jumpy from gear to grear(like it was without any bushings) but when I put the shifter cable bushings it seems to be jumpy again. The best way to explain the feel is it pops from gear to nuetral and pops into the next gear, it that normal and is that what everyone considers smooth??? Hell it even makes a pop! noise going out and into gears, there's got to be something wrong.

With the full set of bushings, it will take about two weeks of normal driving to "break in". Once you've put some miles on it, you'll never even be able to tell that the bushings are there-- you'll just be used to the crisper shifts.
When I try to shift a stock tC now, moving the shifter feels like stirring a pot of stew.

The topic may prove moot in the end... unless I start getting an influx of OEM shifters, I'll be taking the GearSwitcher off of the website this Friday. I've received less than 10 cores back from all the shifters I've sold, and the open market seems to be drying up for whatever reason.
No more cores, no more GearSwitchers. Sorry, folks. Any orders made through today (3/9) will be taken care of, and I have a line on a few more to fill any potential orders from the week, but the near-complete lack of response to my requests for OEM shifters across 5 Scion boards combined with virtually no core returns means what it means.
Bummer.

Just to clarify Doc, did you mean orders received through 4/9 or 3/9? I just put my order in a couple days ago. If it helps you'll be getting my core as I'm cheap :D.
As for shift cable bushings, I put stainless ones on with an all purpose grease and it took some getting used to. I don't recall a pop, though the shifting seems a bit more raw/mechanical. I like how I know exactly how far to push or pull the shifter now instead of squishing into gear. I need to go back and drive a stock tC to compare.
Looking forward to a short shifter.
