I'll be more than happy to send my core back to you too, doc. Just wanted to wait until the gearswitcher gets broken in a bit.

So, just curious for any updates on...
1. Whether or not you will continue making the Gearswitcher or have you recieved any cores back to be able to do so.
2. Is my gearswitcher ready to be shipped or has it been shipped already? Just wondering not trying to rush your work so don't think that I am just anxious to install it. I am already expecting it to be next week before I get it just curious.

I will be purchasing the radiator cooling plate as well once more funds come in :D Thanks again Doc... oh and everyone should send their cores back to doc, keep the gearswitcher alive!

1.
It's a beautiful thing.

2.
It's an even more beautiful thing.

I've updated the GearSwitcher page on the website to reflect the increased core charge (package prices remain the same) and there is now a 5th package. I finally came to the conclusion that I can continue selling them so long as I make it clear that the average lead time is going to be 7-10 days. I'd love to get them out faster, but I spend most every day waiting for cores. If I had an unlimited supply of stock shifters, I could ship daily.

Wow I can't believe my eyes. I am so glad I went with that package. It is great you are still going to sell the GS, everyone should have an opportunity to recieve a great shifter from a hardworking individual like yourself! Great work and you will be seeing tons of pics once I recieve and install the GS!

Can anyone tell me if its ok to use white litium grease as an alternative from the Marine grease that Doc prefers?

That should be fine. I use the marine grease because it has almost no odor-- most greases smell, well... awful.

Oh I see. Well when I used white lithium grease for the the cable bushings my first instinct was to smell it ( i don't know why but i did) seemed to have no odor.

I use white lithium for a number of things, but opted for the marine for shifter parts as it's pretty tough stuff-- if it can handle propshaft bushings, a shifter ball should be no problem. Plumber's grease is even better in terms of smoothness, but I have too much marine grease in the shop to justify buying yet another shifter grease.

I installed mine as well a few days ago, lost the cap that goes on the shifter when removing it from the stock one but no worries, doc came to the rescue I will post pics in a few... Just so everyone knows I chose the Ultimate, 2.25" drop, Nismo **** and matching collar, cage risers, and cable bushings. Very happy with it even though there is play with the cap being non-existant lol

Wow the 5th option sounds nice since just a replacement and no need to strain myself to get that plastic ring off the shifter.
