Here is a picture of my Doc. I's shifter with the cage risers. It's a little stiffer than stock but I really like it. The boot still looks kinda sloppy and I had to cut down the that chrome plastic piece that holds the boot in place to make it fit with the stock shifter. So I'll gonna work on making it look prettier this weekend. I still have to install the cable bushings, too.

All in all props to any guy who doesn't just complain about something but goes out and does something about it, like making your own short shifter. I do have a question on the weight of your shift *****? Specifically the "Waisted" model.

Wow, seems like I've missed a lot in this thread.
I've had two TWM's. One of them broke. The throw wasn't as short as I wanted. Those were the only two things I complained about with the TWM.
Doc I STS: (check)

Pictures would be great, esp. of doc I's since I haven't really seen it installed on a tC. Thanks for the info!

well I had a TWM SS on my last car and i loved it... but i heard really good things about dr. I so i'm planning on trying that first, the prob with my last TWM was that it wasnt short enough, maybe 3" is too short? lol i was thinking of either 2.5 or 3

maybe Dr. I can ans my question but if anyone else knows... I was planning on purchasing the Dr. I SS but i wanted the threading to be the same as the shift **** for my other car, is that possible since I have a Skunk2 weighted shift **** that I would rather use

Well i've read the this whole forum and have decided that I will be buying your product Dr. I. Also, which package is better for a 2.5" height reduction? This is dumb question, but does the kit come with instructions?
Will be purchasing your product once I get some answers

Well, the Premium pakage is obviously the best one. Plus or Premium is fine for the 2.5" height reduction.
I don't have any intall instructions on my site (yet-- it will be a few weeks), but the install for my SS is the same procedure as any other.

Much the same as the cage bushings. The OEM bushings at the end of the shifter cables are soft rubber. I replace them with solid delrin bushings, which adds to a crisp, direct shift feel. They're not absolutely necessary, but they do make shifting feel a whole lot more direct.
