Alright, after reading this thread, I need some help deciding. I was going to by the cc short shifter (creative compacts) and it looks like the Doc I would be best. Now that was a 1.5" reduction in height. I already have the NST shifter cable bushings and the corsport shifter base bushings, so I am assuming that the basic package would be for me. Is this correct?

Now since i already have the shifter cable and shifter base bushings installed and I am looking for the same height reduction as the CC (b/c I know I like it), would I order doc I's shifter with a 1.5" reduction as well (since i'm not using his shifter cage risers)

Or do I need the riser with the longer bolts to get what the CC short shifter would give me? I don't know if Doc I's ss with a 1.5" reduction work w/o the risers. I'm clearly confused, so i'd appreciate some help.

The basic kit would be for you that is correct seeing how you have the rest of the stuff that would come with the premium. Did the corsport cage or base bushings raise the cage at all? Doc I's 1.5" height reduction is the total drop with the bushings installed. His bushings raise the cage up .6" so depending on your setup yours could end up being a 2" drop if you went with that one. PM Doc and see what he can do for you and see if he know's about the coresport cage bushings and see if he can custom make you one or something to fit your needs. :D

I don't think that the corsport bushings raise the cage at all. These are the exact one (stolen from their website):

So to get that 1.5" drop that the cc shifter would give me, I would have to order a 1" drop on the doc I. Is that correct?

I'll pm him if we're unsure.

Get doc I's shifter cage bushings. When you order them...say you want a 1.5" drop just tell him you want a 1.5" drop the bushings are included in the drop...their talle than corsport or TWM. If you were to get Doc I's STS with a 1.5" reduction in height you have to account for the bushings too. if you use corsport or TWM you will get a reduction of
1.9" maybe a little less.

Well I don't want to spend more money than I have to, so I am going to keep my bushings, but I still want to get the same height reduction as the cc shifter (1.5").

Since the 1.5" reduction is WITH the shifter risers, I should order a 1.9" or in reality a 2.0" reduction to get what Doc I considers to be the 'perfect' reduction since i'm not using the risers?

I can customize the drop to whatever you'd like. That's why they're custom.

So if i'm not using your shifter cage risers, but instead the corsport shifter base bushings, and want what you call the 'ideal' reduction, what inch reduction should I order? A 2" reduction?

yep. so for me to equal what you have, i'd need a 3" drop. That's a bit low for me though, so it looks like a 2" drop would be good after all and w/o the risers, I believe thats what doc I feels is the ideal drop

Clearly i'd be going with the basic package. I have no money, and I already have the cable bushings, base bushings, and of course i'm not going with the cage risers, so the basic is the only one that makes sense for me.....correct me if i'm overlooking something
