Has anyone in here tried the Unichip? and if so, how does it perform on the tC..? can you really notice the difference?

my friend spent 9 grand on a custom turbo kit and was able to hit 298 at 5500 RPM. Almost everything was custom made in his fathers shop.

That's a lot of money for only 298.... you can get there for around 5-6 I'm sure. It all depends on reliability and boost PSI though.

whats the best engine management for the tc? anything close to standalone? i plan to TRD s/c and would like the best ecu mgt system. trying to stay away from piggybacks.

i'm kinda unfamilar with unichip but my tuner for RSX is a dealer.

AEM is going to come out with a stand alone for the TC but with that you need to know what you are doing so you dont blow your engine... But its preference with the piggy backs. I am going with unichip because of all the problems they are having with the Emanage. Do a search i am not 100% on this. But i know this was covered in another Topic/

Unichip has yet to show too much for the tC yet as well though... I'm sure it works much better.... but the kits aren't out as much as the ZPI's.... so I'm waiting and hoping it comes through..... then I'll start looking more seriously...

It all depends on the first few who run it and what there experiences are...

Exactly. I can't wait to see how the unichip works out for the tc although I'd much rather have a product that worked well that was tunable by anyone..like an emanage or standalone. I don't have my kit yet, but Dezod seems to be working very well w/ the emanage and has an additional device to prevent learning. THat being said, I don't know how the emanage set up takes to weather changes and if new maps need to be loaded. Its my impression that the unichip is basically plug and play and that is it - leave it alone.

Unichip is apparently adjustable via PDA, through bluetooth or something.

Rip'd image from their website. http://www.unichip.us

We can adjust it anytime we want. Unichip is looking promising.
