So they're selling Unichips now... what's the big deal? They've always sold more than just OEM parts/accessories.

I had the unichip a while back for my CAI/Header/Exhaust setup.... got it from sfxperformance. I noticed a 10-15 hp/tq increase after install. Im not sure if its worth the 400$... .but I did see a noticeable increase in performance. Obviously its worth more to someone with nitrous or FI.

No... really, this has been out for a while now. As a PNP, with no tune necessary (you can have it tuned later if you add more things - but the base tune is supposed to be decent). But ya, it's $400+. Some of the FI guys use them too.

isnt there a place where you can send in your ECU to get it tuned and claimes to add 30hp...i think its called PCMF.com or something like that...i dont know if its true or not but i saw it some where...

if this chip adds 186 hp to the crank with CAI and exhasut...then the whp must be around 170 ish.....which isnt to bad.....is it worth it dont know...needs more prrof and and exact numbers to see what it can do..

Quote:During check-out let us know what modifications you have installed such as exhaust, headers, cold air intake kits, superchargers, etc.

This is odd, when I contacted Unichip about a base map for a supercharger they said it would have to be tuned. If they can pre-program to sc with add-ons this would sway my decision on which piggy-back to go with.

ok ok ok you guys caught us....We have been working hard lately trying to get a lot of new things onto our website. Unichip is the first new thing on there for you guys. It is a simple P n' P system and works great. The new XB and the TC are pretty new from UniChip. It is well worth the money on this and we offer it at the cheapest price around. The UniChip is the easiest to tune on the Supercharger for you guys and UniChip hasn't had one to test with a S/C on it. Let us know if you have any questions on this product. It is new to us, but we can answer anything you throw at us. Thanks again everyone!

I'm getting one for my xB with the dual exhaust and TRD Intake kit. It will be here soon and I'll let you know about it. You have to remember yes your paying $400+ but then again I remember paying over $600+ for my CAI and Exhaust together and probably only received 10-15 hp. So $400+ for the same additional gains is worth the money to me. Especially since when you modify or make changes to your parts you can just update the file on the PnP and off you go again! I'm excited to get mine so I will make updates on what I think about it.
