Vacuum hose replacement

Vacuum hose replacement
So, the time is coming closer for me to sell my tC. After being hit by a semi, I figured it was time to fix it up and let it go. The biggest thing I have to fix is actually a small thing. My check engine light came on well over 10k miles ago, and I had it immediately checked out. The code it was pulling was for a large vacuum leak. I was informed that it would idle a little on the rough side and not get excellent gas mileage, but the car would still function with no engine problems, which it has. I have been looking for the past 10k miles for any info on how to replace the hoses such as: how much do I need, what size do I need, how to pinpoint the leak to ensure it's actually from a hose, etc. I have only been able to find kits that say to include everything, but I'm not looking to spend $50 plus on some hoses that I know are only a few dollars. So, if any one can point me in the right direction, or can inform me on how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the heads up on the sizes being on the hose. Tried finding a leak the other day, and couldn't find one. So, did a little bit more research, and realized I have never cleaned my MAF sensor. Turns out, I have been driving on a dirty one pulling a check engine light for over 10k miles. Over thinking FTL.
