Default Valve springs and retainers

What kind of benefits can someone expect by upgrading their valve train??

Come on people... I know that someone here knows. Dont just read this post and leave. Give me an answer. LOL

Well I am not 100% on this, but I believe upgrading the springs helps at higher RPMS and if you port and polish the head and upgrade the valves, you should get a better flow into the combustion chamber, as well as if you make it bigger, then you can get more air/fuel mixture in for more power. Still not 100% on that but I believe that this is true, someone can correct me if I am wrong though.

titanium retainers and valve springs help free up weight in your valvetrain, not sure how much but they allow you to prolly have a smoother and faster rev. kind of like a lightened flywheel, your revs climb and drop quicker.

all the parts in your motor that move require force to move them. if you get lighter springs that are more precise, they'll eliminate some of your drivetrain power loss. however, it's a huge waste of time if you're na. if you're going to take a motor build seriously, choose a forced induction system and then from there choose which parts you want to upgrade. this will depend largely on your application-what do you want your car to do for you? if you want to spend a bunch of money on fancy looking metal parts, have fun, but it's best to have a plan.
