"only axel back"

I honestly believe their is a reason many good companies did axel backs. Many people posting on this site have not looked under their car. Your stock mid-pipe is 2.25" stainless steal and mandrel bent. I do not think people get how solid that is. 99% of the "cat backs" still do not come with the S-pipe which is more important than replacing the mid pipe. They (cat backs) really only do two things....eliminate the only cat left on the car (if you have a header)...and usually get rid of a decent resonator which if you have a header ..that is not a good thing. 2.5" pipe is needed if you really plan on a 300 HP turbo kit..but otherwise not needed.
I have never seen a NA 4-banger with 2.25 mandrel bent stainless pipe under it. Under our car does not look like a Honda.

with ANY FI (as well as NA) is is good to increase the size of pipe. A hi flow cat is also very important.

I just installed my draxas header back exhaust (s pipe on back order) and i can tell a slight differance in power. Once i S/C, that extra flow will help out alot.

one thing you are forgetting is that stock cat is restricting, a hi flow cat is needed if you plan to add some power

I said that I swapped my cat and res. for 2 resonators? Also 99% of the "cat backs" have no converter in the mid pipe anyway. So when you do what I did to the mid-pipe it is the same thing...just custom.
my point is these are not Mustangs or V-8 engines. these are also not Hondas with stock 2" crinkle pipe. i am not getting into back pressure topic but on a NA car making 200 ish horses you do not need 2.5" pipe and the stock 2.25" mandrel bent is plenty. Cat or no cat is up to each person. I will also toss out this. The Monster Motor Works NA TC with a $850 header and S-pipe and a 2.5" straight though design exhaust system made no more power on their dyno run than my 2.25 and the 4-ever knocked TRD exhaust. Actually I got 160 footpounds to the ground and their dyno shows them at 150.

I really do not want to take the thread off topic. I just wanted to let people hear my exhaust at idle and under load.
