its not going to happen.

the lift you are talking about is the cams switching over to aggressive cams.

we redline at 6.25k rpm, which IMO is way too low to allow lift control.

Even though this isnt the reason why we cant lift, theres no reason to switch over to a more aggressive cam in a car that is geared relatively low.

If we were to hit lift at 4k RPM, the cams would be going crazy, especially since many people hit 4k in city driving.

anyways, it would take an incredible amount of head work and you would need a whole new camshaft design. the amount of parts and labor involved would not be worth it.

the more reasonable thing to do, would be a complete port and polish, along with cam work.

i tink gettin lift in our car wil require a whole new top.

because LIFT isnt triggered electronically lik VTEC which kinda sucks cuz it doesnt work as well as vtec...

i dont itnk head swapping will do the trick either.

at least we can dream...

VVTI-L, as of right now, is impossible for a scion tc. Sorry. The 2.4L block is drastically bigger than the 1.8L 2zz block. Head swaps dont work.

You've got to treat and modify the tC more like a big-block motor than a small high-rev'er. It's easier to pull additional power out of the 2.4L, but don't look for it in VVTI... look for it in port/polishing, cams, pistons, etc.
