well coilovers, from what i've seen usually include the shock/strut with the springs designed for them. if weapon R are selling 'coilovers' then these are not coilovers but more rather just 'springs' instead

this is the sleeve type coilovers that do not come with struts. this is no different than say ground control coilovers. it is very common and for those who want heigh adjustability but are on a smaller budget..those usually have pretty bouncy rides from personal experiences in people's cars.

for real. i had a set of these on my old civic. i didn't like it very much, i took it off after a month. waste of money imo.

i wonder if those helper springs actually make a big difference in terms of ride quality, performance.(i didn't have those on my civic)

Actually the bar does NOT require any modification to fit. It clears the spare tire and the factory trunk floor panel can be reinstalled. When the bar is installed and all the factory pieces are reinstalled, it looks as if you have done nothing at all. The rear strut bar is in the production phases and will be available by the beginning of July.

We have decided to offer the box in a Polished finish to start. They are being polished as I type, and will be available for shipment by June 27.

The coilover kit is meant to be a sleeve and coil setup, using factory style struts. We may offer a full kit in the future, but that's just an idea so far.

I did not take photos with the covers on, but in the following photos you can see clearly that the bar sits below the ledge that the rear trunk floor panel rests on. It can also be see that no interior modifications have been made, and that the rear seats are still in their original mounting positions. The prototype has been sent out for production, but when I get it back I will be more than happy to take photos of it installed with all the factory panels in place to show this point.

Yes, those are the rear two bolts of the upper strut mount. There is a third bolt under the carpet next to the seats. Please research the situation before you make a claim. Consumers are entitled to factual information, not speculations.

My intention was not to "snipe" at you, or to offend you. Being on so many forums, I see it is all too common for people to make comments on a product in which they have no direct experience with. If you have the item in question, and did in fact need to make the said modifications for it to work, then by all means offer you constructive criticism for all to hear. I apologize if you felt I was rude in my post, but I have to say I felt your original comment about our product was just as rude. I'm not going to continue with this any further than this post, I want to keep this thread a purely informative one, not one filled with off-topic rants. So again I apologize if you're offended by my earlier comment, and wish you a good day.

look i assumed (like every other car i've worked on) that the strut brace would go shoulder level at the rear seat. i've NEVER seen something with struts so low that its almost like a top-over rear sway bar instead of a strut bar.

i didn't mean to mislead people but in the setup i was imagining, you would have to trim off plastic or cut some metal (as my 3 previous vehicles). obviously that was cleared up when you, the vendor, said otherwise. you just could have done it without attitude.

A wise person once told me, "never assume, it will only get you in trouble".

I saw the prototype, and NO TRIMMING is necessary.

(Ray, I got your email. My AOL is acting up. I'll send you a PM.)

Thats probably because they were a mcpherson strut suspension in the rear. The tC is double wishbone with shocks.
