Good news.......after hitting several muffler shops today and gettign quotes from $140 up to put on a resonator or the "we do not want to touch it as we do not think it will do any good".........AHHHHHHH idiots they are......... Finger Tap

WE went to Austin Pro Max.........after looking they had a couple of options......a 22" resonator or 2 14" resonators........

So I had them do the 2 14" resonators......car sounds great now......the rasp is gone......not all the way gone but most of that is left from the TRD Muffler.........

Very happy with the results and their service was outstanding.......and final cost was $114 out the door...........and took under 40 minutes....... Clap

Next step GReddy Ti-C and it should sound really hot.......

Cindy is happy again....... Relief

If you are wondering what it sounds like it soulds like the car has the stock header on it with the TRD.......the resonators took out all the rasp......but it also took some of the lower sounds as well that the TRD has to it......but it sounds great again......and a little louder than it did stock......

did you put them on the stock midpipe and keep the stock resonator, or did you delete that?

would love to see pics.
..my aero25's were delivered yesterday.

I have the same setup with the header and the TRD axle back. I just put the Aero 25 right in between the stock cat. and resonator, and it did a great job and killing the rasp. Only cost 20 buck for that setup, and 56 for the Areo 25. Just thought I would throw that in just in, it is just another way to kill rasp.

I left the stock midpipe........and had them cut off the stock resonator and had them install the two resonators in its place butted up together.......really not going to benifit much from a 2.50 midpipe so I did not have them bend me one...If I was racing the car at the track then I would put a full midpipe on but it is fine for the daily driver.....plus there is now only about 2 feet of the stock pipe left and half of that is the CAT which I will change out my self one of these days.

On the Scion TC you have to understand you are deleting the Cat! Alot more exhaust flow(HP and TQ) and sound is going to travel through the header now. Yes the auto is a pain in the butt to install. We have made minor revisions to drop the cost. If you have any questions feel free to email, call, or PM.
