Default Weapon R Header (Prototype)

This Weapon R header already have the s pipe... it is a complete header. No CEL problem... so no antifouler, no O2 sim card, and no wider diameter s pipe.
Expensive? Yes, I know, but it is a complete product, no mixtures.
Worry about the dirty unions? It is a prototype.

Here you can see the pictures and dyno with the Weapon R Intake...

What do you think about it?

Weapon R's website makes me nervous. They speak a lot of physics that sounds more like they just read them in a book and thought they fit in the paragraph well. Especially on their CAI section. Their explanation of using a homeade flow bench because it was better than the ones everyone else uses raised some questions for me too.

As far as a $1000 header... no way. I wouldnt spend that much money unless that was the only thing else I could improve performance wise. And then I would pay a good exhaust man to design and build one for me.

it is not a $1000 header... it is $800.
If you expend $1720 for a full cat back and a CAI, why not expend $1000 in a Header and Intake when both have been proved to be better than others brands in the same category? also you have $720 to extras to buy a good exhaust and spark plugs cables. that's a better way to expend your $1720, and where you can expect more power gain.

Dont worry about the plugs and wires on this car. Denso Iridiums are EXCELLENT plugs, and with coil on plug ignition there is no need to buy Hotwires (which are virtually useless in themselves anyway) or any similar wires for it.

Just fyi

I believe Weapon R is basing this header design on a hyrbrid tri-y design used on most race headers for honda B-series motors. In the past, it was generally known that 4-1 honda headers was good for low rpm power whereas 4-2-1 headers were better for top end (or the other way around, I don't remember). The hybrid tri-y design overcame these restrictions with longer secondaries to provide the power over the whole powerband, not just peak horsepower. I assume it should apply well for our engines, but we will only know with dynos done by someone outside the Weapon R company.
