I thought it's just a general term that may include many modications including turbo. but guess that's not right. So, what is super charge exactly?

Same principle as a turbo; it is a device that compresses and accelerates airflow into the engine, allowing for more power to be produced. Unlike turbos, superchargers are driven by belts connected directly to the motor.

Someone else who's more technical, take it away.

a turbo uses escaping exhaust gases to spin a turbine with a shaft to a compressor that brings in air, compresses it, and sends it back into the intake. it's using wasted energy to send more air into the engine.

the supercharging concept uses parasitic drag on the engine to do the same thing. bring in air, compress ir, and then put it back into the engine.

i would encourage you to read this:

Well Xonic,
some people will tell you that a turbo is a type of supercharger, like a roots type blower is a type of supercharger, and a centrifugal blower is a type of supercharger, and a twin screw compressor is a type of supercharger.
Some others will tell you a turbo is a turbo, and a supercharger is a supercharger.
I will tell you that it doesnt matter what you call things.
Follow matty's links to learn about the different types of forced induction.

Although originally built for World War II aircraft, superchargers have become very popular in the performance automotive world, and can now be found as original equipment on many compact sports cars! Modifying a supercharged engine often results in big power increases making it great for racing, hauling, or just having fun around town.

Powered by external pulleys, attached to the outside of a supercharger's impeller and the engine's spinning crankshaft, superchargers are essentially large pumps that compress air and force it into the engine.

Older ROOTS type superchargers look like this......

Newer CENTRIFUGAL superchargers look like a turbo....
