You will enjoy it. Did you get it with the dark greenish **** or chrome? Oh, BIG TIP.............when you install the shift ****, TAKE OFF ANY RING THAT YOU MAY HAVE ON. I scratched my **** up the first 2 minutes I had it so I just put my old one on.

Second tip: use a small file or dremil to trim the 2 shift cable holders down a bit (where the cables mount to the housing, not the shaft). They look like 2 " U "s. Just shave them a bit b/c the stock cable locks are a bit bigger but after that, they slide in perfectly.

Its it harder for everyone to put your shifter into 1st or 2nd from a 5-15mph roll? After I put in my short shifter I can't get the gear into the gate. The shifter also is a bit "crunchy" during shifts. Is this normal? It's should be a grease problem because I white greased the crap out if the assembley

If you're moving at about 5 mph+, it will be harder to go into first b/c of the synchro not allowing you to. 1st gear is supposed to be used primarily for getting the car moving and not to be engaged while it is moving.

What after market shifter you get? They will make your shifting feel stiffer but that's b/c they change the pivot angle of the shift cables tightening them a bit more so that you don't get any shift lag like you do with a stock assembly. If you put white lithium grease on the two main ball sockest the cables fit in and the shifter pivot housing, you should be fine. It's just the way it'll shift. If you "hear" crunching, then take the cover off and drive it around a bit like that to see if there's something in the way or if it's not aligned properly. Also, if you got either the TRD or K2 Motors shifter housing, make sure the black plastic clip that holds the wire against the left side of the stock one is out of the way and zip tied. Mine was rubbing against the housing and it sounded weird until I moved it.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, read your profile after I posted. CC short shifter is just the shaft so check to make sure the ball sockets are greased, the spring is mounted correctly and not scraping the housing and the pivot socket is greased. if you see any shavings of plastic, check your spring. That seems like what would be making the "crunching" noise as it scrapes against plastic.

THE CC COMES with everything to install or do you have to buy anything else?

it comes with everything you need to install it but get some shifter cable bushings as well. they make a nice difference as well.

Any of them should work just fine no matter the shifter you have.
