update:
so i went to my local tire shop and they say that the treads on my tires are fine so all they did was rotate and balance for free. i'm like "ok....." i was ready to fork over $500 for new tires but i guess they didn't want it. anyways, the noise i was describing went away a few days ago and never came back. again, that noise was always intermittent anyways but when it did come back, it would stay for awhile.

so i don't know what to do next, if the noise comes back. i really really think the treads on my tires are uneven but whatever. if it comes back, i'll go back to another shop and have them reevaluate. other that that, should i get an alignment now?

next time the noise comes back, just turn up your radio. my car makes so many little noises, it would take weeks of going to shop after shop to diagnose every little problem. luckily we drive a Toyota, which means you can ignore most of those noises. back when I had my VW, I was constantly worried like you are now.

i could but when i'm talking to friends, i got the music down and then they'll start asking me that noise is and i don't want to have to explain it to them. anyways, the sound is gone...for now. should i go get an alignment and call it good? i'm happy that i saved $500. now i can use that on brakes. 55k+ miles on original brakes still.

yes get an alignment especially if your lowered. IF you go to a shop that puts on tires and doesnt do an alignment, find a new shop.

Always get an alignment when you get new tires

like i said, it's intermittent. it comes and go whenever it likes. i'm at the point where i said... F it too. one more trip to another tire company and have them inspect my tires for uneven wear. if they say it's good, then i guess i'm happy cuz i save money. i'll go get an alignment and call it a day.

from your pictures I can tell you your tires have uneven wear. The shops are saying your tires are good because they are good. They would pass inspection, They are not unsafe. But you have uneven wear causing your noise.

i see. makes sense. i'll still head over there tomorrow. i hate to spend money on tires since they are still good. probably get an alignment. i need the money for brakes. i can feel they are going out.

update:
so i went to 2 local reputable tire shop today and they both said that my tires are fine. the uneven wear is suppose to be like that and it's not that bad. my alignment were a little off but got that fixed. brakes had about 40-50% life left. so all in all, nothing wrong with the car. excited about that because i can save myself money. well, i guess it's done here. thanks for your help guys. sound is gone now, but it'll come back in a few days.

yeah never go to that shop again, we told people they needed new tires all the time for even wear. especially if its on the inside since people never check that and the outside tread can be good, while the inside has belt showing.
