try looking near the drivers side, somewhat below where the engine and the airbox/intake connect.

nice pics. i will be removing the stock airbox to install the i bushings right? i have a feeling it will turn out to not be a simple install...it seems like the simple stuff always takes much longer than expected, i'll hope for the best and try to not lose a clip, haha

To make sure you have the right bushing on the right cable, try putting on both of the bushings without the e-clips. You should have a nice fit on both of them. Then put on the e-clips when you are 100% sure they are on correctly. I used the stock pins because mine were not stretched when they were removed and they seem stronger than the newer ones.

Were these worth it? I mean could you feel any difference, or is it just a mental thing?

Did you get both the cable bushing and the shifter? I have a CC STS and was wondering if the shifter bushings would help as well, or if I should just stick with the cables.

The CC came with the base bushings...(purple things)

Put those bad boys in and buy the cable bushings.

Bump. So I finally grew a pair and put my new cable bushings in yesterday. Those pictures helped tremendously. Took me 30 minutes. I'm sorry I doubted the experts here. =P

Went on a spirited drive earlier today and I could definitely feel the difference. The original rubber bushings weren't that worn out (surprisingly, after 11k miles) compared to other pictures I've seen. But I could definitely feel the difference in my shifts. Stronger, and seemed ... definite? I dunno if that's the word I'm looking for, but yeah, I felt the difference!

Great mod!

heres the weak stock bushings. the lower one has cuts in it, so it's super squishy
the upper one is in the pic below that, you can see that it is not solid either.

the ones i installed are made of solid brass, i highly recommend them
